Please join Artist Jenna North, who will present a discussion of the concepts behind, and the process of, making the Weather Series Paintings, on display now in the Lobby of 50 Fremont, downtown San Francisco.

During her year-long exploration of this theme, North collaborated with experts in Meteorology and Computer Science, and collaborated with several visual and performing artists to curate two shows (The Weather Reconnaissance and The Painters Almanac) that addressed ionospheric manipulation, global warming, strange weather patterns and storms, as a metaphor for artistic practice.

This discussion presents an informal opportunity to offer the public insight into these beautifully striking works that also serve as a platform for the age-old friendly chat about the weather.
