MICAËLA GALLERY PRESENTS: DIGITAL DELAY
|
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA - 02.15.08 - (for immediate release) Micaëla is proud to announce "Digital Delay" (March 4-April 6, 2008), featuring work by Jenna North, Gerald Cannon and David Yun. Jenna North uses computer generated gradients and patterns to inform her dizzying Op-Art acrylic and enamel works; while Gerald Cannon blurs the line between "real" and fake in digital c-prints that utilize pure code and programming to depict the "natural". David Yun carries on the tradition of the experimental "scratch film" in the age of digital artifact, in one minute video works that turn discrete gestures into intense moments of emotional, warped nostalgia. Curated by Scott Kiernan and Anne Yalon, the opening reception is Friday, March 7 at 5 pm.
