The Dude Rancher's Association (DRA) sponsored a raffle this past summer.  Participating DRA ranches sold tickets and proceeds went to the Educational Trust (scholarships which Kari, Meagan, Mollee, & Darcy received while attending college).  At the DRA's annual membership meeting in early February, the winner's name was drawn.  The winner was a guest at Gros Ventre River Ranch.  In addition to the aforementioned raffle, the Vee Bar held their own mini-drawing for a free Saturday night stay for two people to be used during the summer months.  The winner of this drawing was David Yeagy from Texas.  Congratulations!  

For those of you who have visited the Vee Bar, you remember the friendly Golden Retriever that greeted you, usually along with Lefty.  After 12 years of greeting guests, being the ranch mascot, standing by Lefty, and attending the grandkids sport events, Duke has passed away.  He was in good health, excited to go on a walk one particular day with Lefty.  In his excitement he slipped under the tire of Lefty's pick-up.  He did not suffer at all.  He will be missed by many.
