Inspired - Featuring William Joseph & the Red Deer Symphony Orchestra
William Joseph has two albums produced by David Foster. He has two albums "Beyond" and "Within" both produced by David Foster... David Foster once said that William has the career that he always wanted. The music — a genre-defying crossover mélange that has been described as “classical pop” — captures a variety of moods, from the dramatic, to the heart-wrenching, to the light and playful, and all performed with the emotional power and polished precision that William has become known for. His growing legion of fans has been devoted to him ever since the 2004 release of William’s debut album Within, which featured a mix of original compositions, inspired rock classics, and impassioned classical pieces. All of William's orchestra arrangements are done by William Ross who is one of Hollywood's best known orchestrators and arrangers... he is also known for being the music director for the Oscars. William toured through Edmonton a few years back with both Il Divo and Josh Groban. William Joseph will be performing with the Red Deer Symphony Orchestra on September 9th, 2011 at the Winspear, with the proceeds going to support the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. It’s time to take ATV safety seriously … All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) are more popular than ever in Alberta, but the number of serious injuries associated with their use has also increased. According to the most recent statistics for Alberta, there were 100 ATV-¬related deaths in the province from 2002 to 2008, with 18 of those fatalities occurring to children under 16 years old. ATVs are not toys, they are powerful, heavy machines. ATVs can travel at speeds up to 105 Km/h and weigh up to 272 kg (600 pounds). Did you know… Children under the age of 16 should not operate any size of ATV because children generally lack the strength to control the vehicle and the skill and experience to quickly judge a potentially dangerous situation.
Parental supervision is always an important part of creating safer environments for children and youth and for reducing the likelihood of injuries. In the case of ATVs however, the absolute risk of children and youth under 16 operating such powerful machines cannot be adequately overcome by parental supervision. Children and youth under 16 years of age have a higher overall risk for injury and death on ATVs, even when using youth-sized machines. There is a lack of evidence that smaller sized ATVs can reduce injury risk to any acceptable level. Medical expert groups, such as the Canadian Association of Paediatric Surgeons, agree that anyone younger than 16 years old should not operate ATVs anytime, anywhere, any size. Although the risk is greatest for those under 16, the use of ATVs is not without serious risks for operators of any age. Operators 16 years and older are advised to develop safe riding skills and practice the follow safety measures:
INJURIES ARE NOT ACCIDENTS… THEY ARE PREDICTABLE AND PREVENTABLE! |
