Marilyn Manning facilitated powerful, fun, efficient, and effective speed networking in February.
Sixty people let us know they were coming. More than 80 people showed up. That was quite the scramble; setting more tables to accommodate everyone for lunch. We had to finally close the door with no time to add more people.

It is increasingly more important to have advanced registrations for our lunch meetings to help us with the restaurant guarantee needs. We respectfully ask that you complete your registration by 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 9th.  Registrations beyond this time will require a $5 late registration fee.

Valerie LeVierThe Villager Newspaper and DTC BPW  created a new partnership. They will attend our meetings and publicize our events. Valerie LeVier joined us to jointly announce this new endeavor.

Please join us for our next meeting on Wednesday, March 11 for our BPW Lunch, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Cool River Cafe. Mayor Nancy Sharpe, Greenwood Village, is our featured speaker. Bring lots of business cards to expand your network.

Plan now to attend our professional development seminar on usng social networking, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. (see below)

Take advantage of the opportunity to influence the choice for Women of the Year honorees. Members nominate someone whom they think is deserving. (see below)

Every member between the ages of 21 and 35 are invited to participate in our YC (Young Careerist) Program. It recognizes the accomplishments of young, upcoming leaders and provides them with professional development skills and opportunities. You will participate in a speak-off to determine who will represent DTC BPW at the State BPW Convention. Contact Carol Naff if you are under age 35.

Member of the month Patty Howe. Patty Howe
Patty has been a member of DTC BPW for nearly four years. She is committed to the organization's mission to achieve equity for all women and values the opportunity to serve the group. Since DTC BPW is made up of a group of dynamic individuals, Patty feels fortunate to have been chosen to be their photographic journalist. This is a new position added this year to capture the energy of the group through photos.

Patty is a photographer by profession and owner of Patty's Pet Photography. Her passion is animals (mostly four legged) and photography. Patty values the special qualities that pets provide us. Her goal is to celebrate their spirits through photographs that portray each pet's uniqueness.

Best regards,
Carol Naff, 2008-09 DTC BPW President
