CAMT Supplier Scouting
Business Growth Opportunities for Your Company
CAMT is teaming up with government agencies and OEMs to locate reliable manufacturers with particular production capabilities. CAMT Supplier Scouting efforts include identifying Colorado manufacturers' production and technical capabilities and capacity, as well as pre-qualifying suppliers in some cases.
CAMT is working specifically with the U.S. Department of Defense and Department of Energy to identify potential suppliers of hard-to-source parts. These programs are tasked with finding companies meeting certain criteria to supply parts, and providing the necessary technical and business assistance needed to help companies win government contracts.
To be eligible for these business opportunities, make sure we know about your company by registering on the CAMT.COM Portal.

Interview with DOL Veterans Program Director
|
Josh McDaniel, Director of Veterans' Employment and Training, U.S. Department of Labor
Colorado is home to over 420,000 veterans. Several government programs are dedicated to ensuring veterans are a vital part of the workforce. CAMT interviewed Josh McDaniel to find out how manufacturing companies can take advantage of veteran hiring programs.
In your role at the U.S. Dept of Labor, you are tasked with increasing employment opportunities for U.S. veterans. What are the primary ways you accomplish this?
My team dedicates itself to protecting employment rights and finding jobs for veterans and transitioning service members. Using the local One-Stop Career Centers throughout Colorado, we are able to meet labor market demands with qualified veterans. Our front-line Veteran Employment Representatives have successfully connected Colorado's employers and veterans for years.
Why would a manufacturing company want to hire veterans?
In 2008, The Society of Human Resource Management conducted a study on why a company should hire a veteran. The result was a long list of attributes that uniquely enable veterans to succeed in a professional atmosphere: keen leadership skills, the ability to blend a diverse team to get the job done, always calm when under pressure and a high degree of professionalism, to name a few.
