Whether you are working on a current project, want to
start your first story or poem, or are experiencing
writer's block, this course is for anyone who enjoys
writing. Through journaling, freewriting, in-class and
take-home writing exercises, and sharing your work
with your classmates, you will join a community of
writers, explore and find new topics to write about, and
get the creative juices flowing to stretch yourself as a
writer. Tap into your own creativity in a supportive
environment. Genres include fiction, poetry, and
creative non-fiction.

July 4 at the Argenta Foodie Festival for lots of great
food from local chefs all using Arkansas-grown
products. Chef Jason is making ice-cold fruit sorbets
using what he finds at the Argenta Farmer's Market.
He's looking for peaches, melons, blueberries, and

Arkansas Farmers Market invite you to share your
patriotic spirit and love of locally grown foods by
attending the first annual Argenta Foodie Festival on
Saturday, July 4, 2009. The event will take place from
9:00am - 2:00pm and is free to the public.
This new mouth-watering festival will be held along
Main Street between 6th St. and 7th St. in the historic
Argenta neighborhood of downtown North Little Rock
next to the popular Argenta Farmers Market. The
Argenta Foodie Festival will feature some of
Arkansas ' favorite restaurants and catering
companies as their chefs will create their own
specialties utilizing only locally grown produce and
meats. Entertainment includes live music, arts and
crafts vendors, children's entertainment area and
shop for fresh, locally grown food at the Farmers
Market.
Don't miss out on all of the fun on Independence Day!
Come downtown to wear your red, white and blue,
enjoy great food, dance to live music and support our
local farmers. Our local farmers, chefs, musicians
and artist, will make downtown North Little Rock the
place to be on July 4, 2009.

Call for Stories: Scary Stories for our Halloween Show
"Tales from the South," featuring true stories told by
the people who lived them, is now open for
submissions for our October Halloween show. We
are looking for
ghost stories, scary events, or close encounters.
Stories must be true and can be serious or funny (or
both). See below for full submission guidelines.
Submission deadline is August 1. Email in the body of
the email (no attachments) to Paula Morell.
