Argenta Restaurant Week: January 18-24
Argenta Restaurant Week is coming up! The
promotional week at Argenta's restaurants will feature
special fixed price menus of $8 for lunch and $25 for
dinner during the week of January 18-24, 2009.
Participating restaurants include Benihana Japanese
Steakhouse, Cornerstone Deli & Pub, Cregeen's Irish
Pub, Margo's Catfish Diner, Reno's Argenta Cafeì,
Ristoranteì Capeo, Riverfront Steakhouse, Salty
Parrot,
Starving Artist Cafe', Valentine's Ballpark Italian
Restaurant, and others. The promotion gives diners
an affordable way to sample various menu items.
At Starving Artist Cafe', we are offering a special menu
of 2 courses for $8 for lunch and 3 courses for $25 for
dinner. Special Restaurant Week menus will be
posted on our website next week.
Don't Forget: We Do Dinner!
Looking for an incredible dinner place to bring your
significant other, business clients, date, friends, or
others? We do dinner 5 nights a week, Tuesday-
Saturday until 9pm.
We offer our full lunch menu at night, and we add
appetizers like polenta cakes with burgundy
mushrooms and bleu cheese, and goat cheese and
tapenade with crostinis. We also offer entrees like filet
mignon with house-made demi-glace or mahi-mahi
with cherry pepper coulis. And that's just the beginning!
We take reservations for dinner, so don't hesitate to
call us uif you're coming in: 372-7976.
Call for Artists
The Argenta Public Arts Committee and the Argenta
neighborhood are initiating a multi-year public art
project. Commissioned art will include 3-D or 2-D
permanent or temporary works of art with a canine
theme to turn the old epithet of "Dogtown" into a fun,
whimsical asset.
All artists/teams may apply, but those residing in or
having ties to Arkansas may receive extra
consideration. Deadline is January 15, 2009.
