Eileen Marder-Mirman, MS, NCC, LMHC,
is director of the Work of Return, a teacher and supervisor in Integrated Kabbalistic Healing, Impersonal Movement and the Spiritual Leadership Programs. For the past 30 years, Eileen has specialized in integrating spirituality and alternative healing in her psychotherapy practice on Long Island and in Manhattan. She is a graduate of the Gestalt Center of Long Island, has led numerous healing retreats and works privately with individuals, groups and couples.

The Work of Return is a self-healing modality created by Jinen Jason Shulman, an internationally known spiritual teacher and healer. Jason created this work based on his understanding of the truth of Boundlessness as found in the Buddhist Prajnaparamita Sutra and the Kabbalistic notion of the Avir Kadmon.
Through a system of movement, sound and breath, Work of Return helps us embrace our symptoms (whether they are physical or emotional or spiritual) as a vehicle to reestablish the dynamic openness of our true self, which is fluid and not ruled by the ego's desire for permanence.
The Work of Return practice may sometimes effect the disappearance of symptoms, such as physical pain or emotional distress. But, more important, our symptoms lose their symbolic value and become simply themselves. Symptoms that are only themselves do not interfere with the flow of life. |
