July Holiday Celebrations for US & Canada
July 2008

Last month I mentioned the US Open Golf Championship. It turned out to be the most exciting golf tournament in years.  What a great Father's Day weekend for all golf aficionados.  Both Judy and I are avid golfers and certainly enjoyed the tournament.

We were in Bozeman Montana attending the Airstream International Rally this month and had a great time with a great group of people.  We finished the show and headed to Canada to
celebrate my mother's 84th birthday and are currently spending a couple of weeks with the grandkids. We have been looking forward to this special time.  The grandkids call the RV the "castle on wheels".

There will be lots of celebrating both North and South of the border in July.  Canada Day was July 1st and of course July 4th was the birthday celebration for the United States.  Wherever you were we hope you enjoyed the celebrations.  One of my son's birthday was July 1st, so we have a double dose of celebration.

NEW PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT
One concern for many RVers is water conservation.  For the past few years we have used a water saver in the bathroom and it certainly works, but it wasn't Water Saver1"USER" friendly, especially when visitors came around.  They didn't know how to get water out of the tap.  The Water Saver device screws onto the tap and allows you to leave the water temperature and volume set at the levels you prefer.

This device will significantly reduce your water consumption!

When you need water just push on the straw like device that hangs down.  This turns the water on.   As soon as you remove the pressure on the straw, the water stops.  It also has the option of leaving the water running.

Reducing your water consumption also reduces the amount of water going into the holding tanks and also reduces the amount of water you need to heat.

Water Saver WaterTo have continuous flow of water, push the circular piece on the straw all the way up to the top of the straw.  It takes a little practice to get the device to run continuously but it works well once you have figured it out.  This is the easiest water saving device I have ever used.  Put it on all your sinks and you will be really impressed as the water starts and stops immediately.  Less mess,  less cleanup and you are rewarded with substantial water savings.  Click Here to check it out.

Most people at the Airstream Rally bought 2, one for the kitchen and one for the bathroom.  Some of you with two sinks may wish to get three of them.

WATER PRESSURE REGULATORS
Last month we talked about the EZ Fill Funnel Filler and the EZ Fill Hose Filler Adapter.  One thing we didn't talk about was the effect of Water Pressure Regulators on your water flow.  If you go to a park that has decent water pressure and you use a normal pressure regulator the pressure will be reduced to 40-45 psi.  This reduces flow as well as pressure, a common complaint, especially in the shower.   Today's rigs are designed to handle decent water pressure but don't like high pressure such as 80 psi or above.  So if you go to a park with good pressure and use the standard pressure regulator, you will probably be complaining.  The Hi-Flo Pressure Regulator we use has a 55-60 PSI rating so the flow and pressure are much better.  Of course that depends on the campground having pressure higher than 40-45.  You will be pleasantly surprised more often that not when you use a pressure regulator that will allow more flow and pressure through to your rig, while at the same time protecting your plumbing.  These higher flow pressure regulators are not recommended for use on older RV's.

ToiletPaper Roll
This product is getting even more rave reviews.  Last month a maintenance supervisor in Florida tried it out on his 400 unit truck fleet and immediately re-ordered more product.  He also ordered our fabulous Microfiber Cloths

The positive reviews on this product just keep coming and coming and coming.  You're going to love it!
LightCheck To The Rescue
Here is a customer comment we received about the Lightcheck & Safety Plug in the email the other day.

Lightcheck
Hello.  I couldn't find a link to give you a customer review about this product.  I hope you'll post this for me.

The Lightcheck & Safety Plug was given to us by a friend who knew we loved camping.  Its concept seemed good.  Being able to check the trailer lights without hooking up seemed good.  On our first trip out this year, we were returning from our weekend away.  We had been having troubles with our gas gauge, and ran out of gas 15 miles from home!  We called our local auto rescue company to have gas delivered and put on our emergency lights.  It occurred to us that we could run down our battery that way and then my husband remembered our gift.  We unhooked the power from the truck and plugged in our Lightcheck & Safety Plug.  It did exactly what it claimed to do, including running
4-way emergency flashers.   We waited an hour for our gas to come, and
didn't run our truck battery down.  The trailer battery then just recharged as we drove to the nearest gas station.

This is a great device that I think no RV camper should be without.

Thanks,
