URGENT NEED!!

We have an immediate need for more leaders and helpers for Kidz ROCK!!  Kidz ROCK Children's Church is for children in grades K-5th.  We remain in the service for worship praise and singing and the kids are dismissed immediately following this time (when Roy begins to speak) to go to Kidz ROCK Children's Church.  Kidz ROCK leaders are scheduled to teach once per month or once every 6-8 weeks depending on how often they wish to serve.  If you are willing to fill this need, please contact Vicki Hudson (704-657-7098 or children@gfellowship.org) as soon as possible. We would love to have YOU join our team!  You will definitely be blessed by sharing in the lives of the children at Grace Fellowship!

Missions is It!

God wants His people to partner with Him in the process of redeeming our lost world. Much of the Old Testament reports on His efforts to get the Israelites to be His "priestly nation" and "a light to the nations." But they kept forgetting His purpose in calling them together in the first place, despite the prophets He sent to remind them, as summarized by Stephen in Acts 7. Finally, Jesus came as Savior, but God's idea of having His people work with Him in the redemption process remained unchanged. The Book of Acts records how the church Jesus started became empowered by the Holy Spirit to tell of God's love far and wide. But His original intent is the same-He wants to be in a relationship with all the peoples of the world, and He wants us to help make it happen. This is missions, and it is the uniting theme of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. Here's a shorthand way to express it:

Missions is not part of the church program.

Missions is the church program.

A Promise From the King of Kings

Like Peter, in Matthew 26, we by our actions, words or both in order to be acceptable in our cultural community can deny Christ by silence, part truth or even ignoring what the hostile world says about our Christ. Often guilt follows or worse, a slippery slide into a temporary "flesh zone". We would be goners without the magnificent gift of forgiveness. God WILL forget our crimes against Him when we pray in earnest repentance. What He did for Peter He will do for us!! That's a promise from the King of Kings!!

Prayer Room Volunteers Needed

God has said that His house is one of prayer.  It is the foundation for all ministry.  If you believe you are being called by God to pray on Sunday mornings during the teaching time please call Barbara Abbott at 828-478-1073, or e-mail her at prayer@gfellowship.org to sign up.  This is a rotation ministry and you will probably be called to pray once every two or three months.  As intercessor, you will be with the congregation for the praise and worship and then go to the prayer room at the back of the sanctuary during the time that Pastor Roy teaches.  There are many aids in the prayer room to help you pray.
