This week, President Obama stated, "The losses that have been suffered in Haiti are nothing less than devastating, and responding to a disaster of this magnitude will require every element of our national capacity -- our diplomacy and development assistance; the power of our military; and, most importantly, the compassion of our country."
Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper said, "This is a disaster of tremendous proportions. And it is even more than that. We all understand it is in a country where there have already been too many problems. I have spoken with President Obama. Our governments are cooperating closely, particularly on the deployment of a response. We will closely coordinate as we move forward." |
Our hearts ache for the victims of this horrific disaster and we know many of us are asking what we can do to help. The Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation established the "Twin Ideals" fund specifically to fund efforts to alleviate the world's pain. Previously, through the generosity of our sisters, we have supported the victims of 9/11, Hurricane Katrina and Asia's Tsunami.
Today, we ask all sisters to join us and make your gift online and indicate in the comments section that your gift is for the "Twin Ideals Fund." You can also mail your donation to:
