Seems like show-biz script writers, the media and millions of consumers can't get enough of sororities lately. If it's Greek, it sells: in blockbuster Hollywood movies, made-for-TV shows, online games (such as Facebook) and even iPhone applications. Often, the images portrayed are stereotypical, even inaccurate. So what, if anything, can we do about that? Read more >

Melissa RickettsMELISSA RICKETTS (Theta Psi - Alma College) has been named the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation's first-ever GOLD Program Development Officer. Her mission: to engage newly graduated sisters as loyal donors, thereby strengthening Phi Sig's philanthropic impact in the years to come.

Michelle CastroNationally renowned Greek leader MICHELLE CASTRO (Delta Kappa - Florida International University) has earned even more distinction: She was recently elected by the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors to serve as a regional director in 2010. Her installation is scheduled for Dec. 9 in Jacksonville, Fla.

Phi Sig Pride - October 2009Our sisterhood is truly international - and we are pleased to keep in contact with women around the world doing (and seeing) amazing things!

Among them: Christine Beck of our Delta Lambda Chapter at Muhlenberg College who is currently studying at the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands. Says Christine: "When I recently visited London, I saw this Sphinx, realized I was wearing blue and gold and HAD to take a picture with it!"

(Who knew there were so many sphinxes in the world? We'll post them all, too ~ as time and technology permit!)
