Alaska Marine Highway System Launches New Website 

 

Alaska ferry with Mendenhall Glacier in backgroundThe Alaska ferry system has completely redesigned its website for easier navigation and has been built to accommodate the needs of consumers as well as the communities they serve. 

 

Highlights of the redesign: 

  • The sailing search has been moved to the homepage, which allows easier trip planning for the user.
  • An "intelligent" map link on the home page takes users to a real time satellite tracking map of each ferry's position, destination, and anticipated time of arrival/departure.

Fish On in Juneau! 

 

Big, bright, plump wild Alaska silver salmon took the bait in droves this summer in Alaska's capital city.  This beauty was caught on a sportfishing charter in late July.
