First Annual Taste of Juneau Food and Music Festival
Savikko Park in Douglas is the site of the Taste of Juneau Food and Music Festival.
If you plan to be in Juneau the weekend of June 11-12, plan to be one of the first to experience Juneau's newest celebration, the Taste of Juneau Food and Music Featival.
On tap: local acts, dance groups, eating contests, chef competitions, artisits, and activities -- plenty of entertainment to last the entire weekend. Sunday's family day activites will include cooking classes for kids.
Food vendors will include some of Juneau's favorite eateries, and a beer and wine garden will feature award winning beer from the Alaskan Brewing Company.
Tickets for those 18 and under are free; adult tickets are $20, which includes "Tastes" tickets for various food vendors.
Juneau Maritime Festival
Celebrating our Maritime History, Culture, and Commerce
Last year's festival took place at Marine Park on Juneau's waterfront.
The second annual Juneau Maritime Festival will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011, in downtown Juneau.
Given the unique geography, marine focus, and reliance on ocean-based commerce, Juneau's maritime festival is a celebration of these key elements which unite our
community and influence our economy.
On tap: contests, vessel tours, food vendors, informational booths, and activities for kids.
