Music Festivals Just Around the Corner
Mark your calendar! The 37th Alaska Folk Festival will be held April 11-17 in Juneau. Built on the premise that everyone is an entertainer, no auditions are required for individuals or groups to get their 15 minutes of stage fame.
Vastly entertaining, this popular Juneau music festival is free to all (except for the guest artist act), and concerts take place every evening, with afternoon concerts on the weekend. Enjoy bluegrass, folk, instrumental, singers, storytellers, fusion, gospel, Appalachian swing, and more.
For complete details, visit AKFolkFest.org.
If you prefer the more refined opportunities in music, then save the dates for the 25th anniversary of Juneau Jazz & Classics, a
one-of-a-kind music festival offering a spectacular mix of concerts, blues and classical cruises, workshops, and family entertainment all in the most beautiful setting on earth. This year's festival will enjoy an expanded 16-day run from Mary 6-21.
