Greetings!

The chirping of the birds and the trees getting their first leaves of the year mean one thing - spring has arrived! Spring is a time of year when individuals consider joining nature and beginning anew. The aesthetic business is the perfect opportunity to help your patients feel as if they are blossoming with a youthful, energetic appearance. The news of a possible recession has dampened spirits of many this year, giving more importance to your ability to make your patients feel good about themselves.

  • Threat of Economic Downturn drives Men to Aesthetic Procedures
  • Non-Surgical aesthetic procedures give individuals the confidence they need to be successful, and this is evident in studies conducted over several years. In particular, when the economy faces a possible downtown, more men are asking for aesthetic procedures - and they prefer the injectable procedures so they can return to work the following day. According to the ASAPS the number of cosmetic procedures for men increased 17% from 2006 to 2007.

The reasons men get more aesthetic procedures done during this time, is because they need to feel secure in their jobs. A youthful appearance gives them the confidence they need to feel as if they are competitive in their industry. One in four men tell their doctors they get aesthetic procedures for work-related reasons. For aesthetic medical professionals, now is a good time to target the male market, making your clients feel better about themselves and developing long-term relationships for the years to come.

  • ASAPS 2007 Non-Surgical Statistics
