Greetings!

This year, the month of February is bringing the joy of Valentine's Day as well as continued talk about America's economy and the Presidential Primaries. With these changes and new developments, AMET wanted to spend some time discussing the effects on non-surgical aesthetic procedures. One thing is certain: The future continues to look bright!

  • The Times are Changing..or are They?
  • This is a common question being asked in today's world. From economists, political parties to the general public, America's future is hard to plan. With so many unanswered questions about the future, it is not surprising that questions come up about the future of business industries in general, including the non-invasive cosmetic business.

AMET set out to find information about the future of non- surgical aesthetic medical procedures and what medical professionals who offer these services, or those of you who are thinking about offering these procedures, can expect in the future of non-surgical aesthetic medical procedures.

First, because non-surgical aesthetic medical procedures are a fraction of the cost of surgical cosmetic procedures, the future is already looking brighter! Patients are able to take care of their unwanted aging signs in a minimal amount of time, at a minimal cost. However, that does not mean medical professionals do not benefit. According to The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the 2006 National Average for Physician Fees are as follows:

Botox, Average Physician Fee of $417/procedure, Totaling over $1.3 billion Mesotherapy, Average Physician Fee of $385/procedure, Totaling over $11 million Chemical Peel, Average Physician Fee of $870/procedure, Totaling over $485 million Sclerotherapy, Average Physician Fee of $329/procedure, Totaling over $184 million Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Filler, Average Physician Fee of $532/procedure, Totaling over $848 million

For most procedures, practioners charge double the cost of product, so instant profit can be recognized! Non- surgical aesthetic procedures offer patients a timely, inexpensive outlet to fight the signs of aging, this industry is going to continue to grow. Most revenue generated from these procedures is cash in hand for medical professionals, so performing these procedures is a great way to secure your practice as we face a uncertain economy.
