Breaking News! CAN DO® Program Update:

We are excited to announce that our CAN DO Program is now even more affordable and accessible!
Due to the generosity of our sponsors and donors, the program fee and lodging costs for all participants are now covered by Can Do MS! Applicants will only be responsible for a $50 application fee and their own travel expenses to and from Denver, CO.


The CAN DO Program will be held at the Red Lion Hotel in Aurora, Colorado (Denver Metro Area) May 8-11, 2013.  This new venue provides easier access not only for our participants and support partners but also for our Programs Consultants. The Red Lion Hotel has ADA compliant rooms, plentiful meeting space, free airport transportation and is adjacent to Cherry Creek State Park. Spots fill up fast, so spread the word and apply online today!

Our founder Jimmie Heuga was empowered to start his own organization in 1984. To do this he had to recruit a group of compassionate individuals with a medical, exercise and/or business background to help build Can Do MS into what it is today.

Yoga is easily adapted to suit the needs of people with various levels of ability.  There are many adapted yoga classes where postures are modified for people who need to stay seated or require extra support while standing. The modifications and possible adaptations are unlimited. This means that everyone can do Yoga.

November's Can Do MS webinar focuses on speaking with your employer about multiple sclerosis. The presenters, Barbara McKeon and Steven Nissen are employment experts with the National MS Society who will give guidance on what details you should disclose, questions to ask and your rights in the workplace.  Read More.

Girls on Speed

5th Annual MS Skate-A-Thon    Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 5:00 pm - Eagle, CO 

 

Lace up the skates and join us at the Eagle Ice Rink on Saturday, October 13th from 5 - 7 pm for the 5th Annual MS Skate-A-Thon presented by Slifer, Smith & Frampton Real Estate. All ages and abilities are welcome to participate. Skaters will collect as many pledges as possible (flat amount or per lap skated) and all proceeds benefit Can Do MS's lifestyle empowerment programs for families living with MS. Fundraisers also have the chance to win great prizes including a Chicago Blackhawks jersey signed by Jonathan Toews!
