PAYING $320 PER NIGHT TO BE SLAGGED OFF - NICE!

I recently headed to New Zealand for a 2 week motorbike trip around the South Island with a few mates.

I had an interesting experience at a top class hotel - The Hermitage Hotel, Aoraki Mount Cook

You see, when you pay $320 a night for a room you shouldn't expect the guests to be slagged off.  Well maybe you do, but not usually within earshot!

You can read the full story here, but the importance of decent customer service these days is ten-fold because now the customer has, thanks to:

the ability to tell thousands upon thousands of people about appalling service.

Maybe staff education needs to include a bit of social media training so they can understand how 1 bad experience gets related to thousands very, very quickly.
8 SIMPLE STEPS TO WEB SITE MARKETING

I've been writing a series of articles on how to market your web site effectively.

One of the tips can save you up to $770 for 5 minutes work, whilst other tips will help you see exactly what works.

You can read the full series (so far) here:
  1. Launching your web site
  2. Making a simple marketing plan
  3. Get high search engine rankings
  4. Add your site to Google Maps (and save yourself $770!)
  5. Get involved in your niche
  6. Harness the power of social media
  7. Getting media coverage 101
  8. Using print media for success
COFFEE WITH A SENSE OF BELONGING & CARING

A new coffee shop opened up down the road from where I live.

The shop is in a pretty dead area, hardly any passing traffic and was, I thought doomed to failure pretty much from Day 1.

Instead it's become a huge success within a matter of a couple of weeks.

1 Reason For Success

And the reason for its success is so easy and so obvious, it's something we can all look at and learn from.

It's caring.

3 MUST SEES - HUNK, HERO & A NICE BIRD

1.  Okay ladies, this will be the best ad you'll see in your lifetime.  Not so much for the guy readers.

Brilliant Old Spice ad

2.  This one is for the ladies AND men to drool over.  What a hero!

I'm not saying I'm the bravest man alive....but any man who takes on a 20 foot python in his kitchen must be considered a man amongst men, surely?
