Check out an early draft of John Ashbery's famous poem, "Self-Portrait in a Convex Mirror" and a rare photograph of Ashbery in Rome, in 1963.

 

John Ashbery will choose the winning manuscript for this year's Walt Whitman Award, given to an American poet who has never before published a book of poetry.
