The first time I saw Master Po on the original KUNG FU TV program, I knew he was the embodiment of everything true and good about the Asian martial arts. For years I believed in all or most of the martial stories of warrior monks, mystical Indian priests, and the arcane Lohan forms preserved on ancient scrolls, hidden away from the world.
I believed in it all...until I began to do reasonable historical due diligence. Through my ongoing research, and through numerous contributions from others, I find that in some cases, not only did the king have no clothes...there was no king to begin with...
