ONE MAN'S PATH OF BUDO |

In my Gabe Turpin novels, Gabe tends to view life through the lens of a Budoka--a person who follows the path of Budo--the Warrior Way. I have had fellow Budoka talk with me about how my "character" approaches his martial-arts training, and especially his martial-arts kata training. Gabe approaches his martial-arts practice from a deeply spiritual basis. Despite the fact that he relies on the more secular elements of Daitoryu and Goju Ryu to dispatch bad guys and villains, he tends to view his path and practice of Budo as something very different than just punching or kicking the crap out of bad guys.
