The articles in this issue of Curious Things are curiously wide ranging. In this issue we talk about the plausibility of cloning back Jesus, Buddha and Muhammad--and where one can find their DNA. I also share a conversation I had with regard to "disclosure" of our dealings with UFO's and aliens. Finally, for my martial arts readers, I explore the roots and history of the DIM MAK...the death touch.

HOLY CLONING: COULD WE REALLY CLONE BACK JESUS, MOHAMMUD & THE BUDDHA? | |
 The McGuffin in PROPHETS REBORN is centered around the story's villain, Lars Hermann, proposing to use stolen, holy relics, and clone back into this time and place: Jesus; the Prophet Muhammad; and, Sidhartha Gautama, the Buddha. The ability to do so would prove to be extremely troublesome to the followers of those three religions. Of course, the first part of the story deals with the villain securing the true genetic material that would allow for such an unholy act.
Technically, holy cloning DOES appear to be doable, given the recent advancements in genetic engineering and specifically, cellular cloning. So, the technology appears to allow us to succeed at such an abomination. And I was surprised at how easy it appears to be to find the DNA of Jesus, Muhammad, and the Buddha.

NO DISCLOSURE: A RATIONALE FOR THE ALIEN COVER-UP | |
 In my most recent novel, GODS OF EDEN, Gabe Turpin makes a discovery that pretty much blows the lid off the whole ancient aliens, UFO's and the great cover up. Those who want to put the lid back on and continue to live on this planet without disclosing their secrets, set out to keep their veil of secrecy...intact.
My friends who study UFOlogy are all pretty much convinced that Disclosure of the true facts behind UFO's, aliens, and their interaction with we humans would be a very good thing. They are convinced that without Disclosure the people are denied knowledge, and intellectually limited by the secret keepers.
A couple years ago, I talked with one of the MAJOR players within UFOlogy, conspiracy theories, and the spooky world of the world's intelligence communities. I'll call this person "Rudy."
Rudy has been involved in reputed CIA programs in the 1960's related to the Bay of Pigs operation. He was peripherally involved with Watergate, the JFK and RFK assassinations, and later became involved in the investigations of the Branch Davidian incident at Waco. READ MORE

DIMAK: THE REAL DEATH TOUCH FROM PROPHETS REBORN |
 In my first novel, PROPHETS REBORN, T'ao Mo is an ancient Taoist monk who can cause injury and even death apparently by just touching his victims. This old Chinese monk's lethal martial-arts ability was inspired by my own research and experiences with what has come to be called...DIM MAK.
DIM MAK are words in Chinese, meaning PRESS CHI/KI. Chi or Ki according to Chinese Medicine is the body's life energy, that flows through meridians within the body. DIM MAK means literally, "press on life energy." READ MORE |
