In honor of our first anniversary, we've created a one day, Oil Change Special. Join us on April 28th for very special pricing on an oil change and receive a complimentary Multi-Point inspection and car wash.
If you're driving a 2011 model or later, your indicator will tell you that it's time for an oil change. If your Cadillac is 2010, you'll see the "Change Oil Soon" message, or you might not wait for the car to tell you and come in every 5,000-6,000 miles. Older vehicles should have this service performed every 3,000 miles in the NY metro area.
As a reminder to yourself, consider rotating your tires at every oil change, have fluid levels checked and topped off and check the tire pressure.
Our service department is always available to answer your questions and address your maintenance needs.

| Product News and Reviews | | The New XTS - Bringing the Future Forward
The long awaited XTS, the most technically advanced model in Cadillac's history, will be arriving at Pepe Cadillac any day now. You've heard about how it will mark the debut of CUE, Cadillac's infotainment system, will be the roomiest of all Cadillac sedans with a whopping 40" of rear legroom, and incorporates state-of-the art safety features such as lane departure warning and forward collision alert. But here are a few, lesser known facts not to be missed:
A large part of CUE's functionality can be controlled by voice and it will recognize 100% of commands. Unlike Siri's inability to understand most accents, we're told, because of CUE's voice recognition technology, it will understand you whether you're from the southern part of the US or Scotland. The XTS features 20 separate light sources, all choreographed to greet the driver, enhance the overall experience and improve safety. Watch this video showing the sequence of cool, blue lighting accenting the car's controls while warmer ones highlight the passenger areas. Possibly the most groundbreaking feature of the new XTS is the Driver Awareness and Driver Assist Packages designed to help drivers avoid crashes. The most noticeable feature is the vibrating seat cushion, designed to warn the driver of collision by sending vibration through the seat on the side where the potential danger exists.
Clearly the XTS is so much more than a pretty face and spacious trunk (did we mention that it holds 4 golf bags?). Call us today for more information.

| At Your Service | Tips for Keeping Your Cool this Summer

Maintaining your vehicle's cooling system is essential to prolonging the life and efficiency of your engine. As much as 70% of the car's main source of power, the gas, is converted to heat. It is the task of the cooling system to convert all of this heat to air; much like your circulatory system oxygenates your blood. The components include: the radiator and the proper balance of fluid, the water pump, the thermostat, and the fan. There are several maintenance precautions that every car owner should exercise, as well as a few rules of thumb regarding predicting or diagnosing a dysfunctional component. Here are a few tips that can prove helpful.
- When the engine is running hot, avoid driving your car until the malfunctioning cooling system component is repaired.
- An entire cooling system can be replaced for less than 10% of the average cost of a replacement engine.
- A car running at ideal temperature produces enough heat to warm 2 houses.
- The only reason to deviate from the manufacturer's recommended coolant and water ratio, or the brand of coolant suggested, is a radiator replacement.
Ensure your vehicle is operating at peak performance this summer with a Free Inspection. Let our skilled technicians check your A/C performance, inspect all belts and hoses, check the condition of your brakes, air filter and fluid levels. Call us at (888) 547-0334 or c lick HERE to schedule your next appointment.

| Safety First | 2012 Spring Service Clinic...A Huge Success!
On March 27th and 28th, we held a complimentary Service Clinic for all Pepe Cadillac customers and CONNECT readers. Certified technicians performed a 27 point inspection focusing on engine, electrical system, body, undercarriage, drivetrain and interior while our customers enjoyed catering by Stew Leonard's and some good conversation. As an added bonus, each guest received a $25 gift card as a thank you while many were tempted by a $1,000 coupon towards a 2012 model. Due to overwhelming demand, we will re-run this free program in June. Ensure your vehicle is operating at peak performance this spring and call us at 1-888-822-6296 or EMAIL US to receive notification of the next scheduled Service Clinic. |
| Just for Fun | Bizarre Driving Laws

Did you know that, in Glendale, CA, it is illegal to jump from a vehicle moving 65 mph while, in West Virginia, it is perfectly legal to scavenge road kill as long as the fatality was reported within 12 hours? In Alabama, it is illegal to drive blindfolded and, in Colorado, you are prohibited from riding a horse while under the influence. It's a good thing for Mitt Romney that he wasn't in Alaska when he strapped Seamus, his Irish Setter, to the roof of his car because it's illegal to do so in that state.
Do you know which city prohibits "any woman dressed in a housecoat" from diving a car? Post your answer on our Facebook Page along with any other strange driving laws. And if you're planning on spending time in Montana this summer, make sure not to leave your sheep unattended in the cab of your truck or car...otherwise expect a ticket upon your return.
