May 2012
CCAM celebrated our second anniversary as a corporation this month. Those two years represent a major commitment of time and resources by our members and supporting organizations. This month CCAM elected new officers to our board of directors, employed our first intern and moved to Virginia State University for the summer. The CCAM facility is on track for its September completion. See below for links to recent photos. We are currently seeking Directors of Economic and Workforce Development and a Project Team Lead in Manufacturing Systems in support of our research agenda (see right for details). Please stay tuned for more monthly updates from CCAM!

CCAM Research Update

CCAM has initiated additional Directed research at its member universities and now has deployed in excess of $1M toward Directed and Generic research projects. Organizing Members and Tier 1 Members participate in two types of research: Directed and Generic. Directed research is solely for the benefit of the member company and they own the IP. Generic research is shared by all members who have exclusive, royalty-free license to the IP. Generic research was initiated in 2011. Click here to learn more.
