Camp Hardtner Says "Fill the Canoe" for Summer Camp
FILL THE CANOE!
Now is the time to schedule your Hardtner Sunday! Each year on the Sunday closest to St Patrick's Day we kickoff our Fill the Canoe Campaign in our Diocese. This important campaign has two major purposes. First is to tell the Hardtner story and make sure everyone knows what a wonderful resource we have with our camp and conference center. We spread the word by having a display or presentation about camp at our churches. Hardtner veterans give talks about what Camp means to them and how their spiritual lives have been influenced. You might have a wear your Hardtner shirt to church Sunday!
The second part of NO FOOLIN' April 1 is the deadline to qualify for the discount fees for Summer Camp. If you register by April 1 and pay your full fees you qualify for big discounts. You can save $20-40 per camper depending on the session. Registering and paying early helps us plan for the summer and saves families money also. If you beat the April 1 deadline you actually pay the same or less than the last couple of years. When we fill camp up we can keep costs down. Click here to visit Camp Hardtner's Website

"In Praise of Slowness," one-day retreat
at Trinity, New Orleans, April 14, 9am-2pm
The Rev'd Charles LaFond will lead this day of teaching and reflection considering the speed of life and ways to slow down and simplify. We will consider how speed and busyness can be anesthetizing to the work of healing and the place of discernment in our work. We will examine various spiritual disciplines which can assist us with the modeling we choose to do as Christians in living balanced, centered lives. Having slowed down a bit, how do we hear God? What are the ancient truths about listening for God and how do we make decisions once we have heard a call? This retreat gives us the opportunity to discuss such things as simplicity, balance, holy listening, decision-making skills and the nature of God's call.
To register, contact Peter Gray at pgray@trinitynola.com or (504) 670-2584. A fee of $20 covers the cost of lunch and materials. Download the Flyer.
Charles LaFond is Canon for Congregational Life in the Diocese of New Hampshire.

Do you settle for what you know or do you take the chance and step into the flame to see what is on the other side? Advent House Lenten series on Forgiveness 6:30 to 7:30 pm. on Tuesday evenings during Lent, presented by The Rev'd William Morris.
