Annual Appliance Pick-up Week  
March 2 is the last day to register to have your large appliances collected during Hall County's annual appliance pick-up. You must register to participate. Details.

Ledan Ext. closed through March 9 

 

Road work on Ledan Extension will continue through March 9 to repair a metal pipe under the road. The portion between Cha Co and Green Hill roads is affected. Please continue taking an alternate route.

Property tax return deadline April 1 

 

April 1 is the deadline for Hall County property owners to file a property tax return with the Tax Assessors office. You may want to file a return if you would like the Tax Assessors office to review your real estate property appraisal, but it is not required. The Board of Assessors reassessed half of all Hall County properties last year and will reassess the rest this year. Read more.
Spring Chicken Festival April 28
 
Do the neighbors rave about your barbecued chicken? Consider entering the Spring Chicken Festival Cook-off! The deadline is April 2. Registration is now open for the Cook-off, Parade and 5K Race. Sponsorships are also available at www.keephallbeautiful.org.
 
Run April 21 to help Animal Shelter 

 

Register now for the Sterling Stampede 5K and Tot Trot at Sterling on the Lake. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Hall County Animal Shelter. Come check out the new race route, games for the kids, and the pet adoption tent!

Thanks to boot drive donors!

 Fire Services Logo

Hall County Fire Services thanks  residents who contributed to the 2011 Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation Boot Drive. The department collected $54,807 during the October drive, which was the third largest amount in the state! The money supports burn survivors and burn units throughout the state, with 10% going back to the local fire deparmtent for fire prevention and safety education.

Don't forget to change your smoke alarm battery when you change your clocks on March 11!
