Hall County currently has 14 parks that include two community centers, two dog parks, an RV Park and campground, sprayground, boat ramps, sports complexes, agricultural center, wildlife sanctuary and an ADA accessible ball field. Beginning and Intermediate Fencing
Both classes are six weeks long, meeting on Monday evenings.
Date: Classes begin on January 23
Registration deadline is January 13.
Cost: $90 for 6 classes*
*Intermediate class also requires an equipment cost of
$115-$135 per student.
Rape Aggression Defense (RAD)
The Basic Physical Defense program is a 12 hour course, taught in 3 hour sessions, 2 nights a week for 2 consecutive weeks. Taught by certified RAD instructors.
Dates: Jan. 24, 26, 31 and Feb. 2
Time: 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Fee: $35
Registration deadline is January 17.

Registration Information: Class minimums must be met five (5) days prior to start date or class may be subject to cancellation. Due to limited space, participants are encouraged to register early. No refunds will be given following the start of a class without a written medical excuse from a licensed physician. SilverSneakers® Fitness Program Comes to Mulberry Creek Park!
Hall County Parks and Leisure Services is proud to partner with the nation's leading exercise program designed exclusively for older adults (65+).
This program encourages physical activity, a healthy lifestyle and social interaction at no direct cost to the participant. Participants simply provide their SilverSneakers card at the center's front desk and then have access to the Fitness Center, SilverSneakers exercise classes or the indoor walking track. Many insurance companies participate in the program. Please stop by or call 770-965-7140 to set up an appointment to come see the facility and find out if you are eligible.
The current class being offered at Mulberry Creek Community Center is SilverSneakers® Muscular Strength & Range of Movement. This class encourages fun and movement through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. Classes are held on Wednesdays and Fridays at 10 a.m.

Puppy Love Photo Session

Allen Creek Soccer Complex
On January 7 & 8, Allen Creek Soccer Complex hosted the Women's Southeast Olympic Developmental Sub-Regionals. Players from SC, NC, TN, and GA participated in this two day event. This marked the 4th year that Allen Creek was host to the event.

The registration deadline for entering the post season Basketball Tournament is Friday, January 20.

Field of Dreams
The Field of Dreams Spring Baseball Season is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, March 27.
This league is open to school-aged children with all levels of physical and developmental abilities. The season is six weeks long and meets every Tuesday from 5:30-6:30 p.m at Phil Niekro Field of Dreams (5575 Jim Crow Road, Flowery Branch 30542).
Cost is only $5 and the registration deadline is March 23.
