We have a winner!

Angel Flight pilot Bill Doty of Ocala, FL is our winner!

Although his flying has slowed down recently, Bill has been an Angel Flight for more than 20 years.

In the Air Force, Bill was actually a co-pilot on the B29 bomber. He was trained in 1951, when our Country was in need of B29 pilots to fly in Korea. Bill never actually wound up having to fly in Korea, but has never forgotten the experience he received while in the military.

Bill purchased $200 worth of tickets, when the raffle was first announced, which we at headquarters greatly appreciate. Bill would like his son to have the experience, and has chosen to give the ride to him.

Congratlations and thanks to you both!

Wings n Wheels

Shirley-Ann Lennox flew up to Jacksonville Craig airport from Ocala, FL which was apparently the furthest flight anyone had taken to the event. Shirley-Ann helped raise money and awareness for us with her flight instructor at her side by selling water, bears, shirts and handing out flyers. Big award! Thanks again Shirley-Ann!

Free training for generous (and lucky) Angel Flight pilots

6 Hours of free training!

Jim Hendricks of Naples Flight Simulator Center has a very special offer for Angel Flight pilots:

This will be limited to one pilot per month.

Jim would like to offer 6 hours of dual instruction in either a simulator or ground school!

Use those hours for your next IPC, BFR, towards a new rating, or any other skills training you'd like; no strings attached.

We now have a PR agency (at no cost to us)- help us tell our story!

Hi Volunteer Pilot. As you have already been told Barton Gilanelli would like to promote the charitable flying organization you volunteer for. We have found reporters and editors are more likely to do a story about a "person" than an "organization." For this reason we would like to put you forward to the press and have you tell the story of the organization you fly for.

We will provide you with talking points and, if it would make you more comfortable, we could do some coaching with you. Once you have answered the questions below the rest is a piece of cake.

Remember, the story is about the charitable organization and your story introduces the reporter to the wonderful things that the organization does through volunteer pilots like you.
