Now available! Fuel reimbursement for pilots

Angel Flight Southeast fuel reimbursement

On April 19, 2012, Angel Flight Southeast received an exemption enabling the organization to reimburse its pilots for the cost of fuel related to flying Angel Flight missions.Since the inception of this proud organization 29 years ago, volunteer pilot charity could not compensate, or reimburse any of its pilots for the now considerable cost of fuel. Under this exemption, Angel Flight and its pilots may now raise funds specifically for the purpose of a personal or group "fuel fund," where the qualified volunteer pilot(s) may draw from to offset the cost of his/her charitable flight.

After carefully considering the implications and additional responsibilities our headquarters would need to assume, the Angel Flight Southeast board on July 14, 2012, unanimously approved an operational plan allowing the organization to implement  this program.

Pilots should begin applying for and commence their fundraising for fuel reimbursement. Angel Flight Southeast as an organization will also seek grants and donations to create a pool from which qualified pilots may draw from upon to offset their fuel costs.

Mid-year fundraising campaign
Our new tri-folds will be going out shortly. Missions are up, recruitment is up, PR is up, but fundraising has been tough.

The average mission costs about $100 to coordinate, and with demand being so high, we as an organization could really use your help.

With enough help, we we could fly an additional 1,000 missions per year!

You can help transport people to doctors that can save their lives. How many flights would you like to help sponsor?

Please donate today, or monthly!

We need some assistance!
The summer months tend to be especially lean for fundraising, and we are hard at work trying to find creative ways to raise much needed funds in this environment.

Here are some ways you can help, if you can't write a check yourself:
  • Do you know any Foundations you can recommend to us?
  • Do you know anyone who would be willing to put our org in their will?
  • Do you work for a company that does planned giving, such as payroll deductions?
  • Want to give monthly automatically? We can handle that!
  • Want to donate a car, boat or airplane? We can handle that too!
Any leads are greatly appreciated! Please call the office at (352) 326-0761 x1500
