January missions coordinated were up 17% year over year
January missions flown were up 38% year over year
February missions coordinated were up 39% year over year
February missions flown were up 113% year over year!!
Cancellation rates have dropped from 64% Jan '11 and 63% Feb '11 to 58% and 45% respectively

St. Pete/Tampa wing help wanted!

This is a call for your support of Angel Flight through sponsorship, donations and/or participation in your Charity Golf Classic at Feather Sound Country Club, Clearwater, May 14, 2012.

Your support is not for me, our St.Pete/Tampa Wing or you. This is about supporting our organization that makes all of our missions happen. The Golf Classic is a tool to generate interest by our communities and encourage them to support Angel Flight/Mercy Flight. This is all about helping those that need our help. We can do our missions or government can take our money and try to do it for us. I think we have a better track record!!

Over here on the west coast we have just a few people working very hard to make this fund raising event a success. I am proud to say that much of the work is being done by new Earth Angels that have come on board to contribute their time and talents. The real success financially comes from the sponsorship, donated items for the silent auction and cash donations. You and your friends can and will make this a great fund raiser or make this just another event.

Attached is an electronic copy of the Charity Golf Classic brochure for your use. All of the information needed to register or donate for the event is on the brochure. Please review each of the levels and support as much as you can. For any level of sponsorship, it needs to be done as soon as possible. Printing of signs, program, etc. all need lead time. Hard copies of the event brochure are available for your use. Just let me know what you need.

Developmental Disabilities Awareness Day

Seven Angel Flight pilots (Erik Huppert, Sam Samaha, Ken Jordan, Randy Rolf, Marc Miller, Lynn Murtagh and Warren Cheatham) flew nine self-advocates, student mentors and chaperones (18 missions) from Stuart and Ft. Myers to Tallahassee and back for the Developmental Disability Awareness Day at the Capital, Stand Up for Independence!
