2011 Pilot of the Year- David Walker! |
Angel Flight Southeast is pleased to announce David Walker as Pilot of the Year for 2011. David is based at FD04, Leeward Air Ranch in Ocala, FL. David flew 31 missions last year bringing his total of missions flown to 258 since joining Angel Flight Southeast in November, 2004. David has said in the past "Every time I fly, I appreciate and am thankful for my own health." He has been known to spoil many of our passengers by not only flying them to their destination but by also borrowing a crew car to drive them to and from their appointments.
Thank you David!

I am attaching a picture of baby Marshall (4 months old) in my arms after our arrival at Cincinnati's Lunken Field on the subject mission. Marshall's surgery is today, Thursday, 23 February. He was a great passenger, slept most of the trip. I thought you'd like to have this picture.
Thanks,
Joe Blandford
Thank you Joe for flying this little guy from Tallahassee, FL to Cincinnati, OH and sending us this other great picture!

Two Transplant Missions Flown
|
Will Bissett flew a kidney recipient from Tampa to Miami.
On his mission report Will noted: Mission was handled by ATC and Landmark Aviation (at MIA) very professionally. This is the second such transplant trip for me within the last 6months and was very fulfilling. (*Note: ALL fees are waived for any Angel Flight mission flying in or out of MIA)
Bob Mooney flew a heart recipient from Ft. Lauderdale to Gainesville.
Both patients were transplanted successfully are are doing well.
Angel Flight thanks Will and Bob and all of our pilots that stand-by to fly thses lifesaving missions. If you are interested in becoming a transplant pilot, click here.
