Keith Evans Palm Coast Poker RunAfter initially getting rained out, we had a great turn out to benefit Angel Flight Southeast last Sunday. Dozens of bikers showed up to do a great country ride, then wind up at the White Eagle Lounge for some BBQ, silent auction and prizes.

The Tampa/St. Pete Wing is back in business!
Special thanks to Bill Shivers, who will be re-invigorating this wing. Bill will be chairing meetings around the area, on the third Thursday of every month, starting with Albert Whitted Airport (KSPG) at "The Hangar" restaurant which is located in the main terminal. Thanks to "The Hangar" for loaning us this space.

Expect to see two events in this wing in the near future:
A Texas Hold'm Tournament, which is part of a 6 part tournament series that will be held between now and the Spring, and a golf tournament benefit , to be held in the Tampa/St. Pete area.

Thanks again Bill!
Volunteer Spotlight
Mike Sullivan

This past week, Angel Flight Southeast received a request for a 2 ½ year old needing a heart transplant to be flown from Daytona Beach to the hospital on a moment's notice when a heart became available. Unfortunately, out of the five airports within a half hour driving distance from the boy's home, we only had one registered transplant pilot.

Mike "Sully" Sullivan, a new Angel Flight Southeast

volunteer and former passenger offered to recruit some pilots to stand-by as transplant pilots. These heroic volunteers may be called upon, 24/7 to accept a mission of this nature. As a result of his effort, we now have nine pilots who have committed to fly this little guy when he gets "the call" anytime, day or night.

If you would like to be a part of our life-saving transplant program, please call (352) 326-0761 for more information.

Sun 'n' Fun (preview)
Angel Flight Southeast will have their booth in air conditioning this year, hopefully safe from Tornadoes thanks to board member Neil Glazer owner of PilotMall.com. Neil has graciously donated space for Angel Flight to set up our booth in his store.

Angel Flight Southeast will also be hosting one of Texas Hold'm Poker series there on Saturday, March 31st with up to 150 players expected. Sign-ups will be available soon!

Volunteers needed
Greetings!

Grant writers
Do you write well? This is an area we really need some help. Prior grant writing experience is not necessary! We've already prepared our main project plan (Passengers, Pilots & Participation), but now need to complete two more, and apply to a number of foundations that can help our organization reach its next level of goals.

Thank You to pilot Attilio DiMarco for volunteering! We need more please!

Event volunteers
Please see the events scheduled in the left hand column. We need drivers, people to man our booths, help growing our wings and more!

For any of these positions, please call the office at (352) 326-0761
