LecturnTielHello Greetings!

Our new storefront software is coming along very nicely!  We recently upgraded it to the next version of the software, and even though you may not notice any changes, it's faster and easier to manage. You may notice a faster Checkout Page that reloads the information when you make changes without having to refresh the page.

Make sure you check out our sale this month on Oxyfresh Gele, 12oz and 32oz sizes, plus take advantage of our new products and our new monthly contest -- the Facebook Like Contest (see below).

Shipping Savings!

We've been able to save a lot of customers money on shipping costs by using the new Postal Service Regional Rate boxes! These boxes are a bit smaller than the Medium and Large Flat Rate boxes, but offer significant savings on shipping costs. If you wish to take advantage of these savings, please make sure you check the "Authorize Flat Rate Box" checkbox on the Checkout Page.  If your order will fit in one of these boxes and will save you money, we will ship that way and refund the savings to you!

Birdsafe Story Bird

Below is Sparky's story, which has been on Birdsafe.com for a while.  Please read and learn!  Also, please be careful when "hiding" electrical cords from your birds.  Be Smart!!

When we first got our Goffins cockatoo, Sparky, my wife was holding her in her lap one day.  We had a table lamp (on the table) next to the couch.  In what seemed like an instant, Sparky jumped down onto the table and began "preening" the lamp cord.  Well, be careful what you name your bird because Sparky bit right through that cord (Which WAS plugged in) and created a HUGE spark and a loud POP.  When we grabbed her, her facial feathers were all burnt and charred and her beak was black with what appeared to be soot.  We immediately took her to our vet, calling the office en route with our cell phone.  The vet examined her and told us how lucky she was that she hadn't burned the tip of her tongue the way so many birds that bite through electrical cords do.  We felt that we were all lucky that she hadn't electrocuted herself as well.  Since then we have found some very creative ways to cover and or hide our electrical cords from our birds.
