Nordica Theatre To Open November 18th! |
Freeport, ME, November 4, 2011 - Berenson Associates, the developers of Freeport Village Station, announced today that the Nordica Theatre, www.nordicatheatre.com, will open on Friday, November 18th, 2011, with three of this year's most anticipated new films. The Twilight Saga - Breaking Dawn - Part 1, and Happy Feet Two, will open on November 18th, and The Muppets will open on November 23, 2011.
"We are extremely excited to bring a state-of-the-art cinema to the Greater Portland and Casco Bay area," stated Mark Benvenuto, Vice President of Operations for Belmont Capital, LLC. "Our 6-screen theater will feature all digital projection and audio thus providing the highest quality picture presentation and the richest digital sound. Our patrons will enjoy Hollywood's finest pictures while sitting in the most comfortable seating available today." Nordica Theatre is operated by Massachusetts-based Belmont Capital, which also operates the Windham Five Star Cinema, the Wells Five Star Cinema and Bangor Mall Cinemas.
The Nordica Theatre is located in Freeport Village Station, at the corner of Mill and Depot Streets. Movie patrons can park in the 550-space parking garage in the complex. All of the parking is free.
"We're very excited that residents and visitors to Freeport will finally have a state-of-the-art movie theater right here in our hometown," stated Carolyn Beem, spokesperson for L.L.Bean. "We like the idea of keeping the tradition of the Nordica Movie Theatre in Freeport, and we think our customers are going to love the options for dinner and a movie AND shopping at L.L.Bean and the many retail establishments Freeport has to offer. The location is ideal."

Freeport Fields & Trails Ribbon Cutting | |
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Friday, October 28th at 3:30pm at the Hunter Road entrance of the new Fields & Trails project. The fields will be available for play Spring 2012!
