Freeport Sales are UP for Second Quarter!

Freeport's second quarter sales tax data is up over the same period last year!

 

The following table contains Maine Taxable Sales data for Freeport for the 2nd quarter of the year. The categories covered are Total Sales, Retail Sales, Lodging Sales, and Restaurant Sales. We've done a comparison for each of these categories, comparing the years 2011 over 2010, 2010 over 2009, and 2009 over 2008.

GRADE CROSSING CLOSURE UPDATE

The following is the proposed schedule provided by Pan Am Railways to complete the railroad grade crossing reconstruction work.  Each crossing will require a full 36 hour closure to allow for replacement and re-alignment of the track panel, as well as preparation and placement of final pavement:  

  

Mon. 8/15  - Tues. 8/16     Bow Street Crossing      rr

Wed. 8/17 - Thur. 8/18      West Street Crossing 

Mon. 8/22 - Wed. 8/23      School Street Crossing

Mon. 8/29 - Tues. 8/30      East Street Crossing         

Wed. 8/31 - Thur. 9/1        Webster Road Crossing

Tues. 9/6 - Wed. 9/7         Hunter Rd. (Porter Rd) 

Thur. 9/8 - Fri. 9/9             Upper Mast Road           

Tues. 10/3 - Wed 10/4       Fernald St. (Hall Rd.) 

  

Bow Street Construction is on schedule.  It is anticipated that the road will be open to vehicular traffic at approximately 7:00 pm on Tuesday, August 16, 2011.
