The Northern New England Passenger Rail Authority (NNEPRA) is proud and excited to announce that AmtrakŪ is celebrating 40 years as America's Railroad with a special 40th anniversary "Exhibit Train".
The exhibit train will have two locomotives with historic paint schemes and use renovated Heritage baggage cars to display educational exhibits focusing on each decade of the railroad's existence with vintage advertising, past menus and dinnerware, period uniforms, photographs, and other items of memorabilia. There will be no charge for the public to tour the Exhibit Train.
To compliment the 40th Anniversary Exhibit Train, work is underway to develop activities for the public to enjoy in addition to touring the train. NNEPRA is pleased to announce that FREEPORT USA and the Greater Freeport Chamber of Commerce will be exhibitors at this event.
