Azure Cafe, again this year, served Thanksgiving dinner to the Freeport community at the Freeport Community Center. Thank you to Kate and Jonas Werner, owners, and to their Executive Chef, Chris Bassett for their extraordinary generosity.
The Historic Freeport Bed & Breakfasts offered free lodging to veterans, active military personnel and their families on Veterans Day to honor their service to our country. Complimentary dinner was offered by the Jameson Tavern, Azure Cafe, Freeport Cafe, and Gritty's. Those B & B's who graciously participated are Captain Briggs House, White Cedar Inn, Brewster House, Kendall Tavern, and James Place Inn. |

Until they actually move they will remain open, serving Magic Brownie and Cinnamon Buns in their current location without missing a "flavor". When they move, L.L.Bean will open the area to new green space with gardens and benches. |

| The AIR SHOW is August 26-28, 2011 at Brunswick Landing (formerly the Naval Air Station Brunswick). It will include performances by the US Navy Blue Angels and the US Army Golden Knights parachute team. 80,000 - 100,000 people are expected in the area.
