| Intern Help Available |
Great new program from the Maine State Chamber - InternHelpME . This is a statewide internship-matching program that links employers, students, and colleges and universities. It's a free online system that assists student and businesses by offering valuable internship opportunities throughout the state. The goal is to enhance the career development efforts already in place by the educational institutions, provide businesses with statewide access to new workers, and offer students meaningful internship experiences in Maine. This is sure to have a positive impact for Maine and our future workforce! |

| Business Highlight: Autowerkes Maine |
Voit Ritch is a man with a mission. After 26 years in business - 3 1/2 of them in Freeport -he has decided that his Route One location (just south of the Village) is out grown and not working. It's not working for his more than 3000 customers or for his 9 employees because he is adding new customers at the rate of 2 per day and he needs more space!
Freeport, however, is working for Autowerkes Maine, the #1 independent repair facility for fine European automobiles in the state. The location, between I-295 exits 17 and 20, provides access, convenience and visibility. Because of his success in town, Voit plans to move and expand his business to a new location right across Route One which will provide 11,000 square feet of architecturally designed, highly specialized service area. His team of certified technicians can diagnose and repair the newest models as well as the classic versions of BMW, Mercedes Benz, Porsche, Audi, Volvo, and Mini Cooper.
Voit has a national reputation as an authority on finer European automobiles, but it is the relationship that he and his staff have built with customers that distinguishes Autowerkes Maine. In all his time in business, he has rarely lost a customer. A few may have moved away but some of those have found their way back for extraordinary care and service. Many have Autowerkes caring for their fifth or sixth car!
Autowerkes Maine's expansion in Freeport - the home of many of Maine's quality businesses - is a story worth telling. Other stories will be told in the weeks to come.
You can learn more about Autowerkes Maine at www.AutowerkesMaine.com, or by calling 207-865-6600. And please visit the service location at 353 US Route One in Freeport. |
