Crepe & Haute Dog Night - October 21

Our
first crepe and "haute" dog night in September was such a smashing
success that we've decided to make it a regular evening event. Mark your calendar for Thursday, October 21 for crepes and dogs served from 5 until 9 pm. Daniel
will be offering his artisan dogs with all the fabulous fixings, and
chef Gerard will be manning the crepe station serving up delicious
savory and sweet crepes. Bring your own wine and we'll provide the
glassware and ambiance. |
 FALL AT BONJOUR ...
You can
look forward to LOTS of things pumpkin:
Pumpkin muffins; pumpkin cheesecake with a chocolate top; pumpkin seven grain or marathon bread
and pumpkin cupcakes... And, who knows what other pumpkin
deliciousness Chef Gerard will
think up? It's not too soon to
place your Thanksgiving order.
IF YOU ARE PLANNING A HALLOWEEN PARTY, Bonjour can spook your guests with some
scary-good sweets: Halloween
cupcakes: yummy spiced cupcakes
topped with orange or chocolate butter cream. Petite or full size éclairs and cream
puffs filled with pumpkin custard and topped with chocolate fondant. And, now that apples are at their best, our pastry chefs will again be making our
one-of-a-kind Apple Crepe Cake:
layers of crepes and custard, apple compote and more crepes. Taste bud heaven! By

FLAVORED OLIVE OILS: Use your end of summer herbs from your garden (or farmers' Market) to add delicious flavor to olive oil. Rosemary, thyme, garlic and chives are just some of the herbs that will infuse olive oil with fabulous flavor - creating interesting flavor notes to salad dressings and sautés. Just add washed and dried herbs to olive oil and make sure to seal tightly. Best stored in a dark cabinet. Or try warming your olive oil with whole cloves of garlic for 10-12 minutes (discard the garlic) and store in a jar. ROSEMARY GIVE AWAY: If you come into Bonjour in the next several weeks you may see bundles of Rosemary available. I have "tree" of rosemary in my garden, and when I prune it back I'll bring in this fragrant herb - which will be my gift to you* when you make a $5 purchase.
