Positive Patient Story |
Your ER staff is amazing! It's not a place you ever want to have to go, but the staff works hard to make an unenjoyable experience as painless and quick as possible. I wanted to take a minute to thank Dr. Murray, Carol Shaw, the radiology department, and all of the other staff that work together to make your ER run so smooth! You are a crucial reason I personally feel so comfortable with continuing to choose Carson City Hospital to be my hospital. - Jackie Ney | |
Pink Ribbon Affair |
For the second year in a row, Carson City Hospital's cathedral-ceiling front lobby will be transformed into an elegant world of pink for the highly anticipated Pink Ribbon Affair. Raising Patient
Safety Awareness |
Thanks to the Affordable Care Act, the Department of Health and Human Services is continuing to work with a wide variety of public and private partners to improve the care and services patients receive in our health system. Carson City Hospital is taking part in this project. To kick off this unprecedented partnership, two goals have been identified: Reduce preventable injuries in hospitals by 40 percent; and cut hospital re-admissions by 20 percent. By achieving these goals and providing better care, countless Americans will have more healthy years to spend with their loved ones. Together we can build a stronger, safer health care system. |

Decon Tent |

Our Emergency Preparedness team conducted an important drill to test how long it would take to set up our decontamination tent during an emergency. The crew did a great job, and learned that more drills would be the best way to improve set-up times. Way to go, everyone! |
