Central New York autumns are spectacular. Take advantage of the brisk October days to get your home ready for winter weather. Here is a fall home maintenance list from our Home Repair Division:
- Clear gutters of leaves
- Change the furnace filter
- Check and repair any missing or cracked caulk around windows and doors
- Replace storrn door window screens with glass
- Replace window and door seals to keep the warm air inside
- Drain outdoor faucets and store hoses indoors
- Check the chimney for loose mortar

Project of the Month: New Windows and Siding for a Skaneateles Home |

This Skaneateles home was the subject of a front page story in the Syracuse Post Standard. Seventeen windows and the siding of the home were replaced. Special precautions were taken to remove lead paint. The new siding is fiber cement board, which has many advantages for CNY homes.
