McClurg Remodeling & Construction Services  May 2010 Newsletter

Greetings!

May should be designated as "Home Maintenance Month" in Central New York! This is the time to get outdoors and do seasonal maintenance on decks, patios and porches. It's also time to paint the exterior of your home, do roof repairs, wash windows, open the pool and clean off the grime of winter. May is a great month to put plans into action for adding outdoor living space.

Memorial Day weekend marks the beginning of summer. Take a moment to remember all of the men and women who have served our country in the armed forces. Their dedication and sacrifice should never be forgotten by those who live in freedom and democracy.

Benefit for Judy Aguirre
Last September, Judy Aguirre, a Baldwinsville mother of two young boys ages 8 and 11, fell in her home and broke her neck. Judy's accident left her paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair. She's determined to recover from her injuries but faces many medical and physical challenges.

We first met Judy and her family in February and were inspired by their positive attitude and hopes for the future. One challenge the family faces is adapting their home to enable Judy to spend time with her husband and sons.

To help them, our employees and several suppliers have volunteered to build a deck and wheelchair ramp. The project starts May 19. You can follow our progress on Facebook and Twitter. You can help too ... Read more
