To our valued Members,
It's a New Year and time for a fresh start. I think most of us are ready for a fresh start and some warm weather!
We have a lot going on in our chamber this year.
First I would like to introduce you to our new website. It is full of information and offers advertising opportunities.
Please use our website as a business tool.
Please get acquainted with your Chamber, its members,Board of Directors and staff. Maximize your membership! One of the best reasons is having a face to associate with a name. If you need support, have a question regarding your business, please let us know! The Chamber wants to help you to be successful and prosperous.
How can we make a difference together in 2010?
As I mentioned above, a new website with updated tools to help you connect to our business community and cost saving programs that actually give back to your Chamber! Office Depot program is listed and two more are about to be added. Don't forget about the member to member discount program..please participate in this as we strive to have our businesses support businesses! Log in to the "What's new in Business", watch business videos and the up coming speeches from our local political candidates.
Speaking about our local political candidates, your Chamber along with the Anderson News will host a Political Debate(first,Primary) April 22nd @ the Middle School starting at 6pm with the Sheriff and Judge Executive candidates, then in the fall we will be doing it again ( Democrat- Republican - Independent candidates). If you would like to submit a question to be considered for this debate, email sheriffquestion for Sheriff, judgequestion for Judge Executive, or write to: The Anderson News- Political Debate, P.O Box 410, Lawrenceburg, Ky 40342.
( All questions submitted stay sealed until the day of the event)
Your chamber of commerce will be requesting all candidates to speak directly to chamber partners
(those willing to participate),through the means of our website. This will give you the opportunity to view the candidates positions on important issue that effect businesses. After each debate(Primary and Fall) we will conduct a survey, requesting your input on which candidate you would support as being "Business Friendly" (supports growth of our local businesses and the over all economic development in our community). As a business owner you have a voice in the affairs that could inpact your business.
Our Business & Community Expo is saturday. We could use volunteers to help set up and tear down this event, it is a huge work load on our Expo committee, I know they would appreciate anything you can do. Volunteer to help out at the Chamber Booth as well.
