The response to Congressman Randy Neugebauer's outburst on the House floor during Sunday's debate on health care reform has been overwhelming. People from all across the country are outraged at Mr. Neugebauer's rude and senseless remark.
I appreciate this response. Clearly, Mr. Neugebauer has departed from the West Texas values of courtesy and representation that works toward effective legislation. The contrast between his behavior and my message regarding steps needed for progress in our area has never been more apparent.
We need to send a Representative to Congress who will be effective for
West Texas, who knows when to hold his tongue and when to speak, who knows
how to legislate and not to heckle!
