One area of our life that we sometimes take for granted and neglect is our car.

Can you remember when you really took some time to declutter and clean it out?

Now that the weather is getting warmer, give yourself about a 1/2 hour to an hour, enjoy some sun and organize the car.

The first thing I do is remove any item that I don't need anymore, and mine was the ice scraper. May I say I was delighted to take it out.

If you have a lot of children's belongings, such as toys, books, videos, have your kids take responsibility to come and get them and put them away.

Next empty any trash, clean up any dried up spills and give your dash and windows a nice cleaning.

Treat yourself and the car to a new air freshener.

If you really feel energized, give the car a good vacuuming.

With this bit of effort on your part, the next time you go somewhere, it will be like stepping into a brand new car.

In honor of Earth Day which was April 22nd, here is a quick tip to help with reducing our footprint on the earth.

Save a few plastic water bottles and place them in the bottom of your planting pots. Add your dirt and your plants.

The bottles help reduce the amount of dirt needed, keeps your pot from becoming to heavy and it keeps them out of the landfill.
