"Thanks!" from UMCS in Milwaukee Logan Green, Cece Fricke, Mason Piontek and Erika Rudd, along with adult leaders Brian Reimer, Kari Bacher and Patti Bacher went to United Methodist Children's Services in Milwaukee this past week where they helped revamp an apartment in the transitional living housing program and distribute food to the pantry clients. In the upcoming months you'll hear more about their experience and the work done at this wonderful facility. This week we received the following email from the Executive Director:
Hi Patti, Please express to the group how much we appreciated their work this past Friday and Saturday. The group was delightful and fun to work with, focused on their task, and accomplished a great deal! Thank you!! Hopefully the young people benefited as well by coming to UMCS and gained a greater understanding of their faith and the United Methodist Church. Thank you for your leadership of the group. You do an excellent job. Perry Perry G. Huyck, Executive Director United Methodist Children's Services of Wisconsin, Inc. 3940 West Lisbon Avenue Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53208
Thank you confirmands! You make us proud!

While there our crew from New Hope painted and cleaned an apartment prepping it for a single mom and her children to move to. We also helped pack and distribute food in their food pantry (the largest in Milwaukee County) and baked some amazingly large and creative cookies!

Slightly Bad Girls of the Bible Starting January 29th - all are welcome!
Sundays 8:30 a.m.
Sarah mistreated her maidservant. Hagar despised her mistress. Rebekah manipulated her son. Leah claimed her sister's husband. And Rachel envied her fertile sister.
Wait a minute. Aren't they the Good Girls of the Bible? You bet. They're also decidedly human. Like the famous men in their lives; Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; these five women from Genesis often stubbed their toes along the rocky path of righteousness. They were far from evil, but hardly perfect; mostly good, yet slightly bad. In other words, these ancient sisters look a lot like us. Author Liz Curtis Higgs tells these biblical stories with rollicking humor and deep insight.
Each lesson in this study, led by Julie Fricke, is stand alone so feel free to join as your schedule permits.

What did God tell Cain was an acceptable sacrifice? 2. Prior to the murder, what was God's warning to Cain? 3. Can human beings "subdue and master sin"? 4. Why did Eve sin? Why did Cain sin? 5.
