Mission Trip to Milwaukee
The confirmation class is leaving for a mission trip to United Methodist Childrens Services in Milwaukee tomorrow (Friday) morning.  Going on the trip are:  Logan Green, Erica Rudd, Cece Fricke and Mason Piontek.  Be sure to keep them in your prayers for a safe trip and pray that God is able to use them to touch other lives.

For our "Mission of the Month" we are collecting diapers and baby wipes for the youth to take with them to Children's Services.  If you have a donation and are able to drop it off before 7:30 a.m. on Friday morning we'll take it with us.  Otherwise, bring them in when you can and we'll make sure they are delivered to those in need here locally.
Annual Charge Conference
New Hope's annual Charge Conference is tonight (Thursday, January 19th) starting at 6:30 p.m.  All are encouraged to attend this meeting to adopt the budget and leaders for 2012.

Slightly Bad Girls of the Bible
Starting January 29th - all are welcome!
Sundays 8:30 a.m.

Sarah mistreated her maidservant. Hagar despised her mistress. Rebekah manipulated her son. Leah claimed her sister's husband. And Rachel envied her fertile sister.

Wait a minute. Aren't they the Good Girls of the Bible?  You bet. They're also decidedly human. Like the famous men in their lives; Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; these five women from Genesis often stubbed their toes along the rocky path of righteousness. They were far from evil, but hardly perfect; mostly good, yet slightly bad. In other words, these ancient sisters look a lot like us.  Author Liz Curtis Higgs tells these biblical stories with rollicking humor and deep insight.

Each lesson in this study, led by Julie Fricke, is stand alone so feel free to join as your schedule permits.

Financial Peace University
We will be once again offering the Financial Peace class on Sunday afternoons starting with a preview session on February 12th. The regular sessions will run from February 19th through May 20th.  (No class on Easter Sunday)  Financial Peace University, a 13-week series on budgeting, financial planning and smart moves with your money, is back by request.  This popular, faith-based program teaches sound principles to assure you are on the right track with your money for today, tomorrow and into the future.  The class is led by Jen Engel.

Cost of $100 includes books, CD's, program tools and shipping.  Sign up via our office, by email or the FPU website.  Checks can be made out to New Hope Church.
