Vida Nueva's Holiday Celebration
Vida Nueva has again invited us to share in their Holiday Celebration and we are excited!  Worship will begin at 5:00 pm this Sunday, November 20th.  Following the service we are all invited to a dinner celebrating favorite dishes from Mexico, Central and South America.  The families of Vida Nueva are excellent cooks and this is a real treat!  Vida Nueva shares a building with Peace UMC, which is located at 919 Schwartz Street in Green Bay.

Sunday, Nov. 20th at 5:00 p.m.  Feliz Navidad!

Hallelujah!!  Be Part of the Next YouTube Sensation!
With your help, we can make the Christmas spirit go viral!

We are looking for help with an all-church, all-community video project for Christmas.
Inspired by another YouTube video (click here to see it), we'll share this video in church on Sunday, December 18th and on YouTube.

How to help:
1. Create your HAL - LE - LU - JAH message. (make your
own or print it from this document)
2. Video or photograph yourself, your friends, your family, your
neighbors, or strangers displaying your signs. Be as simple or
creative as you want! Need ideas? Watch the video above.  Don't worry about the timing of your clip, that can all be edited.
3. Email your photos/video to katy.gertz@gmail.com. Files too large?
Use an FTP site such as You Send It or save to a disk or flash drive
and drop off at church (we're happy to return these).  All photos/videos are due by Friday, December 9th.
4. Attend worship on December 18th for the premier!!!

To complete this project, we need 37 "Hallelujah"s, 14 "For Ever and Ever"s, 7 "King of King"s, 7 "And Lord of Lords", and a handful of other phrases. Email Katy if you can help with one or more of these additional phrases!

Santify Youth Band Thrilled Congregation Last Week
Jack and Jon                              Jon and Andrew
New Hope rocked out with "Sanctify", the Christian Rock Band, last Sunday!   The band played several original numbers along with familiar songs written by others.  The band is comprised of Jon Kresin, Jack Fricke and Andrew Lee along with Steve Kresin on drums.

Mission of the Month - Food for the Holidays
For the months of November and December we will be collecting food for the local food pantry.  In addition to the extra holiday needs, they are always in short supply of the basics including cereal, peanut butter, canned foods, toilet paper and personal hygiene products.  Just bring your items to church with you and we'll make sure they are delivered.

What's New In Sunday School?
Soon they'll start practicing for the Christmas Pageant during the Sunday School hour and on Sunday, November 27th we'll be recording clips for the Hallelujah project.
Our annual Christmas Pageant will be December 18th during worship at 9:30.
Invite grandma now!

Note:  Our Sunday School hour starts at 10:30 (as soon as the worship service is over the kids head to room 104).  During the Sunday School hour parents are encouraged to either stay with the kids and enjoy learning with them, attend an adult Bible Study being offered at the same time, or to run errands and come back for the children at 11:30.  Confirmation is also offered at the time in case you'd like to sit in and learn more about our Methodist heritage.

Church Cookbooks Are the BEST!
You know how when you want to make something really yummy, the first cookbook you reach for is one compiled by a church?  Well we had so many requests for the recipes from our chili cook-off that a group here at New Hope decided to collect them, along with your other favorite recipes and put them all in one spot in a New Hope Cookbook.  We are asking that you email us your favorite recipes as soon as possible so we can include them.  We'd love to make the book available to you December 4th at the cookie walk!

Please email your favorite recipes to Christy Aniol at:  anioljcje@sbcglobal.net  on or before November 27th.

Order Gift Cards on Sunday!
Think ahead about your purchasing needs and come prepared to order on Sunday.  Groceries, gasoline, restaurants, clothing stores, you can get it all here! Have you considered Gift Cards for the following?  Here are a couple ideas:
    Holiday Meals
    Holiday Baking
Postage for Christmas Cards (buy at Piggly Wiggly)
    Travel and Vacation
    Christmas Shopping
Proceeds from this ongoing fundraiser support New Hope's programming and outreach.  We are also in need of additional help on Sunday mornings to collect and distribute the orders.  Please let us know if you are able to help in this way.
